What Do I Have To Pay?

The party applying for conformity assessment and certification services is responsible for the payment of the applicable fees.

Conformity Assessment Fees (Verification Fees) for Pre-supply inspection are as stipulated and published by Tanzania Bureau of Standards (TBS). The fee guideline is as tabulated below.

Route A

Ad valorem fee as a percentage of the declared FOB value 0.50%
Minimum Fee (USD) 250
Maximum Fee (USD) 5,000

Route B

Ad valorem fee as a percentage of the declared FOB value 0.45%
Minimum Fee (USD) 250
Maximum Fee (USD) 5,000

Route C

Ad valorem fee as a percentage of the declared FOB value 0.25%
Minimum Fee (USD) 250
Maximum Fee (USD) 5,000

Notes

• The above mentioned fees cover the documentary verification, inspection of goods and container sealing (where applicable)
• The above fees exclude laboratory testing, registration and licensing of products

Registration and Licensing – The Fees include evaluation, testing and auditing services. These fees are subject to type of product being Registered and Licensed. Applicants need to contact a local Intertek Office to obtain the quote.
